Carole Barrow is an experienced writer and translator (Spanish - English) living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her recent experience includes a three year stint as Managing Editor of San Francisco Downtown Magazine where she focused on San Francisco's thriving theater and arts scene and composed monthly profiles of local luminaries, activists and business figures. Her commercial body of work includes numerous copywriting assignments, from marketing materials for Architectural Digest to corporate web content. While employed as Interior Design Editor for Florida International Magazine, her pithy coverage of design trends garnered recognition and led to longer assignments ranging from luxury gift guides to extreme sports. As a syndicated weekly columnist for ANG Newspapers, she tackled the complex issues endemic to the notoriously fickle SF Bay Area housing market. Her passions include theater, dance, literature, international travel and fabulous food. Thanks to this eclectic disposition, she is available for a broad variety of freelance projects.
